Pumpkin Hill Bistro

Pumpkin Hill Bistro sits atop its namesake. You will find us as you leave the quaint village of Aurora and start ascending Pumpkin Hill. Local folklore insists this was so named due to an incident involving a farmer transporting pumpkins on his cart. It seems he had the misfortune of losing a wheel thus causing him to lose his entire load. While away trying to replace his wheel, the villagers helped themselves to the fallen bounty

Wine Tasting & Local Vineyards:
Finger Lakes offer some great choices in wines, try one of these local vineyards or go on the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail.

King Ferry Winery
A small farm winery, producing world-class Treleaven Wines, King Ferry Winery, is owned and operated by Tacie and Peter Saltonstall. Here, delicate vinifera grapes are hand-tended and selectively picked to produce extremely complex and full-flavored wines. Treleaven Chardonnays are crafted in the centuries-old Burgundian tradition.

Choosing quality over quantity, the Saltonstall family knows by reducing yields in the vineyard, barrel fermentation and aging in French and Hungarian oak barrels—only wines with proven depth of fruit character are produced.
